Whenever you are standing in the express checkout line with one item, it always seems like everyone in front of you can’t count. Eight items become 12, 16 items grow to 24. NCR will not be able to help with customers’ counting foibles but its convertible checkout will allow stores to put more control into the customer’s hands.
