How hungry are you for a look at a next-generation BlackBerry 10 handset?
We’ve got a video of a near-production version.
On Wednesday Research In Motion gave my colleage Brian Jackson at ITBusiness.ca a hands-on trial of a version developers are working with, and while it isn’t a production model it’s close enough to get a good idea of many of its capabilities.
RIM is trying to pump up the energy towards the Jan. 30 release of BB10, with carriers expected to announce availability soon after. Pricing, however, still hasn’t been revealed.
Meanwhile, the company got a small lift when the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement department
said it will begin a pilot project for BB10 handsets and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 mobile management software early next year. ICE has been a BlackBerry customer for years. It will be among the first government organizations to test the new platform, RIM said.
