OpenSUSE developer tool extends compatibility

Novell announced today that its openSUSE Build Service, an infrastructure framework that allows software developers to create Linux packages, is now compatible with both Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.

The new addition (which is already compatible with Ubuntu and Debian) furthers the company’s compatibility mandate and goal to facilitate innovation through open source adoption and adaptation.

Users can access the Build Service at Novell’s openSUSE.org community Web site.
