Canadian SaaS logistics vendor buys routing software maker

Waterloo, Ont.-based on-demand software-as-a-service logistics provider Descartes Systems Group announced the purchase of a map-based routing software vendor.

The privately-held Burnsville Minn.-based RouteView Technologies Inc. combines its offering with wireless/GPS and automated call-out technology for the home delivery and distribution industries.

The transaction is reported to cost US$3-million, plus an additional US$0.5 million pending sales targets.
