Making a phone call with Google Home

Google Home users in Canada and the U.S. will see a new feature roll out this week with free phone calls. Users will be able to call the contacts they have saved in Google, or a business phone number. For now there’s no caller ID associated with the outgoing call, but Google says it will soon allow users to tie their mobile phone number to their device. If you’re not able to use this feature on your unit just yet, see if you can enroll in the preview program on the Google Home app to get ahead in the queue.

Watch the above video to see ITWC Editorial Director Brian Jackson testing out the calling feature with his colleague Eric Emin Wood. Let us know if you’re a fan of the new feature in the comments section.
