Recruiter’s Guide to Hiring Mobile App Developers

Mobile app developers are heavily in demand. In fact, according to the recent Quarterly Monitor of the ICT Sector report released by Industry Canada, application development was one of the few IT occupations that showed any job growth in the first quarter of 2012, posting a healthy five-plus per cent growth.

Competition for these developers is stiff. But, thankfully, our friends at Stafflink Technology Staffing Solutions swoop in once again, offering this guide to recruiting mobile app developers.

The key piece of advice (thought there’s much more in the blog post) is to moderate the job description. A lot goes into making a mobile app, from GUI to backend to testing. Focus on the essential skills, figure out what can be learned through on-the-job training, and be reasonable.
