I never thought I'd be sorry to see a technology go. But I felt a twinge of sadness this morning when my ISDN Basic Rate Interface service was turned off and the control unit read "ISDN Error." Unfortunately, the errors that are leading to ISDN's demise are not due to poor design, but to the fact that the world has changed and ISDN hasn't adapted.
