Joseph Galimberti 1941 – 2006

It is with deep regret that InterGovWorld has learned of thesudden death of a good friend, Joseph Joe Galimberti, executivedirector of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, IPAC,on Sunday, April 9.

Joe, who had served in his latest post with the non-profitorganization for 30 years, was a tireless advocate for innovativemanagement and service transformation in government and ranked theestablishment of IPAC’s innovative management award as one of thehighlights of his career. He was also a member of the CIOGovernment Review editorial advisory board.

IPAC, founded in 1947, is a dynamic association of publicservants, academics, and others interested in publicadministration. Rooted by its Regional Groups, it is amembership-based organization that creates effective knowledgenetworks and leads public administration research in Canada.

Joe will be missed by our entire community.
