American Express Meetings & Events unveils new mobile app geared for the pharma sector

American Express Meetings & Events on Monday revealed a new mobile app designed to help pharmaceutical companies boost transparency and better meet compliance regulations when hosting HealthCare Providers (HCP) at their events and conferences.

The HCP Mobile Connect app is part of a collection of end-to-end management solutions created to provide healthcare companies with the ability to gather business data with stronger transparency and controls in mind, the company said.

American Express Meetings & Events is a subsidiary of American Express Global Business Travel.

The app will be powered by mobile event tech provider DoubleDutch, and will enable meeting owners to accurately confirm and log the attendance of the HCP attendees electronically. The solution can also be customized at a country level in order to provide local languages and relevant legal messages, according to the company.

Faced with growing concerns around compliance, companies within the pharmaceutical sector are facing increasingly complex obligations to ensure that reporting and data collection management is as accurate as possible when organizing meetings and events; the HCP Mobile Connect tool provides transparency on attendance records for users looking to keep track of this information in order to remain compliant, said Issa Jouaneh, senior vice-president and general manager, American Express Meetings & Events, in a release.
