Koo integrates ChatGPT into its app

According to statements made by the company’s co-founder, Mayank Bidawatka, Koo, an India-based social media platform competing with Twitter, has reportedly integrated OpenAI’s ChatGPT to simplify the process of creating posts for its users.

The new feature will enable creators and users of the platform to write and posts texts on the platform using ChatGPT. However, the new feature is only available for ‘Verified’ and ‘Influential’ personalities currently. Koo said the new feature will be rolled out to all users soon in the near future.

According to Bidawatka, Koo users will be able to use ChatGPT directly within the app to help them draft posts about current events, politics, or pop culture. “This will help creators get inspiration on what to create,” he said. “They could ask (ChatGPT) for the trending news in their region and then write their thoughts.”

Koo, according to Bidawatka, will be the first platform to incorporate the technology into the ability to compose posts. Users can use the ChatGPT tool to type their prompts or use Koo’s voice command feature. According to him, about 20 per cent of Koo users actively create content on the app, and the ChatGPT integration could help increase that figure.

Koo will also look into adding labels to indicate whether a post was created with ChatGPT’s assistance.
