Google introduces Duet AI to simplify writing with Google Docs

Duet AI, a new addition to Google Docs aimed at easing the writing process by automating processes involved in document creation, has been announced by Google.

Duet AI allows users to transfer the labor-intensive portions of creating and structuring information to the generative AI, which subsequently converts it into a full document. It has a high level of customization, which allows authors to fine-tune or even recreate the content based on their tastes.

Users must join up for the Labs preview program in order to utilize Duet AI within Google Docs. Once access is granted, a fresh Google Docs page exposes a distinct pill-shaped box called “Help me write,” which acts as the process’s beginning point.

Following that, users must provide a detailed description of the intended style, such as a blog post, poetry, or a manual, as well as any extra details connected to the theme and substance of the prompt, before clicking the “Create” button. The text is then generated using Duet AI.

Following that, users may polish or completely alter the content by using the “Refine” tool, which includes options like Formalize, Shorten, Elaborate, and Refine, each of which affects the text in a different way. When users are pleased with the created result, they may click “Insert” to include the AI-generated text into their work.

However, once the text is entered, it cannot be changed. While additional changes to the document are possible, users must rely on Duet AI for any further changes.
