OpenText has released another of its next-generation suites of products that combine a number of applications that were sold separately.

Process Suite — a business process management package which had been expected to be released at the end of January — is now out, according to the Waterloo, Ont. based company.

OpenText said it allows organizations to implify complicated business and case automation processes around enterprise content management, customer engagement, information exchange and information discovery.

It includes the following products:

— OpenText Cordys 10.5, which the company said combines process and case management in one system to help automate processes;

–BPM Everywhere, which allows staff to collaborate through a social user interface on any device;

–Process Component Library, which assembles applications from a library of case management and service delivery components;

–and AppWorks Gateway, which can integrate the full set of OpenText products using developer resources and RESTful APIs.

Process Suite can be used on-premise solution or in the cloud as a SaaS or PaaS solution.

Optional modules include

— Process Intelligence – Process analytics and data visualization to better understand the performance of processes;

— ProVision – Business architecture analysis and modelling system;

— Capture Center – Document and character recognition program that turns paper documents into machine-readable information;

“Process Suite simplifies what’s traditionally been a complicated process, and decreases development times from nine to 18 months down to three to six months,” Muhi Majzoub, OpenText’s senior-vice president of engineering, said in a statement. “It provides the agility necessary to design, develop and deploy rich automation and case management applications quickly, and makes it easier for our customers to understand, purchase and deploy their own solutions.”

Process Suite is one of a number of four bundles under OpenText’s (TSX: OTEX)  so-called Red Oxygen strategy which the company is releasing. The others are

–Experience Suite (which comes from Customer Experience Management CEM), is a series of products for managing, building and measuring the effectiveness of marketing applications. New is what OpenText calls Omni-Channel, the ability to create marketing messages through the Web, desktop, mobile or print vehicles;

–Discovery Suite (from OpenText InfoFusion), that links to existing content repositories for searching;

– Information Exchange Suite, a hosted cloud service (although companies can mount it on-premise) available this month that allows staff and partners to securely exchange documents.
