JasperSoft announces NetBeans plug-in tool

JasperSoft Corp. of San Francisco has announced iReport for NetBeans 6.0, a plug-in development tool set for its open source business intelligence software that can be used in custom desktop and Web applications.

Developers can make reports in several different formats, including Open Document, Portable Document Format (PDF), Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. It includes a WYSIWYG report designer, a library of chart types (including meter, thermometer and multi-axis charts), crosstabs for summarizing and analyzing data sets and section bans for background, watermarks, title, footer, and summary. It supports JDBC, EJB, PJOJ, Hibernate, MDX and XML.

iReport for NetBeans 6.0 is scheduled for release in February 2008, through the NetBeans Plugin portal and from Jaspersoft.org. JasperSoft’s product line includes Business Intelligence Suite, which includes an interactive reporting server, graphical and ad hoc report design interfaces, OLAP analysis and an ETL too.
