Ceragon announces wireless Ethernet gear

Ceragon Networks Ltd. has announced the FibeAir IP-10 wireless Ethernet hardware, scheduled to ship during the second quarter. It has a capacity range of 10 to 500 Megabits per second over one radio carrier, across the licensed frequency spectrum between 6 GHz and 38 GHz.

The FibeAir IP-10 includes an integrated Ethernet switch, optional stackable radios with time division multiplexing (TDM) cross connect plus administration and maintenance too.s. It is targeted at carriers wanting to migrate backhaul networks to IP, and supports native TDM and native Ethernet hybrid architecture.

Ceragon, based in Tel Aviv, says the FibeAir IP-10 serves the capacity requirements of a single base station and hub sites. The vendor also says its Advance Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) helps maximize spectrum allocation and capacity over any given bandwidth.
