11 top backup software providers, ranked by customer satisfaction

If you’re in the market for backup software, you’ll want to take a gander at a new report and comparison tool from review site G2 Crowd.

Just like you’d scour a map that lists available properties and compares neighbourhoods if you were planning to move, G2 Crowd offers a grid that serves as a guide to the options available for buisness backup software. Released by the Chicago-based reviewers July 28, it lists NetApp Back and Recover and EMC Avamar as the leaders in the category.

G2 Crowd’s grids are compiled based on customer satisfaction reported in user reviews on the G2 Crowd site (that’s the “satisfaction rating” axis) and market presence, calculated based on vendor size, market share, and social impact. Based on those two scores, a grid with four sectors is created and each company falls into the quadrants of being a leader, high performer, contender, or niche.

Peruse G2 Crowd’s backup software grid below and if you’re looking to read more about the companies involved, use the links below the widget for our articles, case studies, and news.
