IBM And SAP Deal To Move Workloads To The Clouds

IBM and SAP have both confirmed an agreement that enables IBM to provide SAP customers with the help they need to shift their workload from on-premise data centers to the cloud.

As part of the deal, IBM will also offer consulting services to help SAP customers move to the SAP S/4Hana Cloud.

For John Granger, senior vice president of IBM Consulting, the deal further expands the partnership between the two companies.

“Our shared commitment is to meet our clients, especially those in highly regulated industries, where they are in their digital journey while giving them choices for migrating or modernizing their mission-critical workloads with a hybrid cloud approach,” said Granger.

SAP S/4Hana on IBM Cloud has a lot of potential based on research conducted by the two companies. The potential includes higher revenue, lower costs and higher productivity.

IBM has also invested in Rise with SAP. Rise with SAP is an SAP S/4Hana Software as a service cloud-based subscription product designed to move existing SAP ERP systems to S/4Hana.
