Vendors roll out telco wares at ITU

At ITU in Hong Kong last month, IBM unveiled security hardware, software and services for the core of service provider networks that underpin new IP-based voice, video, push-to-talk and presence services.

The Telecom Core Infrastructure Security Solution monitors and manages the health of network and traffic through a single integrated system, IBM says. It offers early anomaly detection and mitigation options that allow network operators to take action and enforce policy either manually or automatically.
