The New CIO

Michelle d’Auray was appointed Chief Information Officer of Canada in September. She

takes over the CIO helm from Linda Lizotte-MacPherson,who returned to the private sector following an Executive Interchange term. Although her background as Assistant Deputy Minister of Strategic Management at Canadian Heritage and Executive Director of Industry Canada’s Task Force on Electronic Commerce have prepared her well, she’s finding breathing spaces in her new job few and far between.

Lac Carling Governments’ Review’s David Newman interviewed her at the end of October.
