SAP AG will add to its stockpile of tools for human resource managers with the upcoming release of SuccessFactors Presentations.
An extra capability to the cloud-based SuccessFactors service, Presentations helps personnel staff collect and build accurate slide data for talent review meetings, says SAP.
Managers will be able to create interactive slides within SuccessFactors with a number of tools, including the ability to import Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe PDF files into SuccessFactors, add “hotspots” of workforce information onto imported slides with live data, and insert new live slides during a presentation.
It will be added to the base capabilities of SuccessFactors — that is, there’s no charge — and available to customers Feb. 21.
The announcement was one of several new products or capabilities SAP made this week that will be released shortly. They include:
–a control center add-on to SAP Payroll Processing.
An end-to-end payroll process can take days, with most time is spent on analyzing payroll-related data that is scattered over different reports, SAP says. Many of these reports run overnight in batch processes, taking more time. The new control center add-on will identify potential issues in real time by the application. Business users can expect reports that run faster. so they can focus on issue solving and thus save time;
–Work patterns and expert finding for the SAP Jam social software platform (part of SuccessFactors).
First announced in November, 2013, SAP says Work Patterns are pre-built to bring together people, data and processes. For example, with the planning and implementation work pattern, HR teams can plan and rollout new benefits policies, training programs or any date-driven events. Customer service teams could find subject matter experts quickly in their organization with the new expert finding feature.
SAP [NYSE: SAP] also said that its product support will be re-designed to allow customers to access context sensitive help, manage cases, attach videos of their questions and use chat.
