SINGAPORE – Leading telecom and internet provider Pacnet and India’s Bharti Airtel have signed a network-to-network interface agreement to interconnect their networks in Singapore and India.
Under the agreement, the two companies will directly interconnect their subsea cable assets to expand their respective MPLS (multi protocol label switching) -based IP VPN (Internet Protocol virtual private network) capabilities and to provide IP solutions to business customers in the region.

This partnership will help strengthen our reach across all major business markets within India as well as provide customers with industry-leading communication solutions,” said Bill Barney, Pacnet’s chief executive officer.
Airtel is one of India’s leading integrated telecom service provider with some 74,000 kilometers of optic fiber cable covering all major cities countrywide and points of presence across 125 cities.
