HP Inc. has announced new software enhancements to its data retention service aimed at extending front-end ability to manage data requests and increasing enterprise Linux support.
The Palo Alto, Calif.-based software giant also said the advancements to its HP Data Retention and Guardian Online (DRAGON) system will enable users to better capture and retain large volumes of voice and data traffic on their networks. DRAGON was designed to meet the needs of the world’s network operators, which are often asked by government officials to collect and store data on phone calls, messaging and Internet usage.
HP said DRAGON’s new integration with lawful intercept systems can help customers retrieve selected data records almost instantly when key data is requested by law enforcement agencies. Other upgrades include configuration flexibility to support business and legislative requirements for multinational companies, grid storage capability for low-cost storage, and Linux support for customers using Red Hat Enterprise Linux on HP BladeSystem servers.
