Hints of what’s coming from Salesforce

Most companies try to keep a lid on what they’ll be announcing at an upcoming customer conference. But during a call this week with financial analysts Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff tipped his hand on what’s coming at next month’s Dreamforce conference in San Franciso.

Chris Kanaracus of ComputerWorld U.S. reports that the conference will show how Work.com, which is based on Salesforce.com’s acquisition of Toronto-based Rypple, will integrate with independent Workday.

The strategy for Salesforce’s recent acquistion of Buddy Media, a marketing tool, will also be revealed.

Dreamforce, which runs from Sept. 18-21, will feature addresses from British entrepreneur and Virgin Group head Richard Branson, retired U.S. general Colin Powell and General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt.
