#FollowFriday: 3 analysts at VMworld

These days when a reporter goes to an IT conference not only do we keep an eye out for industry analysts on the show floor, we also have to watch what they’re tweeting. Here’s three we found at this week’s VMworld 2014 in San Francisco:

Michael Cote, research director for infrastructure software at 451 Group
Cote has worked at several technology companies, from startups to BMC Software. Before joining 451 Research he worked at Dell in various strategy role. He also blogs at CoteIndustries.com and, he says, “types inane prattle on Twitter @cote.”

Maribel Lopez, founder of Lopez Research

She established the company, which specializes in looking for trends in mobility, big data, social software and cloud computing, in 2008. Before that Lopez was an analyst at Forrester Research and IDC. She has also worked in marketing and operations for Motorola and Shiva Corp.

Lydia Leong, VP and distinguished analyst at Gartner, where she covers cloud computing, hosting, data centers, content delivery networks, and Internet infrastructure.
