Digital Transformation Conference adds speakers Alex Benay, Tony Lacavera

Two more high profile speakers have been added the agenda of ITWC’s second annual Digital Transformation Conference and Awards slated for downtown Toronto on August 14.

Alex Benay, Chief Information Officer for the Government of Canada will kick off the day-long event with a talk about the transformation possibilities unleashed with a digital government, and venture capitalist and Wind Mobile founder Tony Lacavera will speak about the possibilities that emerge with the combination of artificial intelligence and blockchain.

Awards submission deadline: May 31

Five digital transformation awards are up for grabs and will be presented at a special ceremony at the end of the conference. Several excellent submissions have already been received, but nominations remain open until May 31. There are awards categories for both the public and private sector and a new award for 2018 focused on digital transformation leveraging artificial intelligence.

The awards will be evaluated by our judging panel that includes Lars Goransson, IDC, Corey Cox, Tandet Group, Ron Babin, Ryerson University, Gary Davenport, CIO Association of Canada, Corinne Charette, and Ted Maulucci, Smart One Solutions.

The event will be held on the 16th floor of the Globe & Mail Centre, 351 King Street,  overlooking downtown Toronto. The conference runs from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. The award program runs from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Registration for the event will open May 1.
