Bush asks for $70 billion in IT spending

President Bush’s 2004 U.S. government budget asks for more than US$70 billion in IT spending.

This funding includes $35 billion toward technologies that will reduce America’s vulnerability to attacks and enhance emergency response systems, and $36.2 billion for the integration of the 22 government agencies that make up the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
