A Nov. 23 press release from Coast Inc. – an Ottawa-based company that monitors Web sites – stated it ran an ongoing, unsolicited audit of the Internet sites belonging to Canada’s top five political parties (Liberals, Progressive Conservatives, New Democrats, Canadian Alliance, Bloc Quebecois) and found most had performed poorly and each had sections that didn’t work at all.
The sites were rated on links that didn’t work and the speed in which pages appeared. With five days left before the Nov. 27th election, the New Democratic Party’s Web site ranked the best with 926 Web pages, one broken link, three pages with quality problems and five slow loading pages.
