Fotinet’s FortiDB family of database security appliances now providesvulnerability assessment (VA) support for MySQL Enterprise from SunMicrosystems. The Sunnyvale, Calif., company said the appliancessafeguard against enterprise data concerns that cross over deeply intoopen source applications. FortiDB works by identifying the weaknesswithin a database, alerting system administrators of potential threatsand offering remediation advice.
