Fluke Networks Inc. has acquired Fremont, Calif.-based ClearSight Networks, whose products include Network time Machine and ClearSight Analyzer.
Everett, Wash.-based Fluke, whose products include EtherScope and LinkRunner, makes testing and troubleshooting products for copper, fibre and wireless networks.
Fluke did not release the terms of the deal, which was announced less than six months after Fluke bought AirMagnet Inc., which makes wireless local-area network analysis products.
With the ClearSight acquisition, Fluke will gain protocol analysis, deep packet inspection and forensic stream-to-disk technologies, the vendor said. The Network Time Machine is designed to capture every packet in a two-way traffic flow for up to a month.
Fluke is owned by Washington, D.C.-based Danaher Corp. (NYSE:DHR). Last February, Fluke announced its Visual Performance Manager now supports Cisco Systems Inc.’s (NASDAQ:CSCO) Wide Area Applications Services.
