ClearApps LLC has released version 3.6 of its Network Inventory Advisor software, which is designed to scan nodes from a PC.
It can scan hardware using a remote agent utility, and it also performs agentless scans.
New to version 3.6 is a batch management feature that lets networkadministrators select two or more nodes in a tree and change theirdetails. Administrators can also be notified of hardware additions,removals or changes, plus they can detect plug-and-play IDs.
The software can be installed on Windows PCs and can can other nodes, including those running Macintosh and Linux, through SNMP.
Version 3.6 is available as a free update to all current Network Inventory Advisory users. New users can download a 15-day evaluation copy at this link.
