Cisco to support the channel in collaboration

I just arrived in Boston this morning and already the town is a buzz about Cisco’s PartnerSummit. Signs are everywhere promoting the conference and I’ve already overheard people at the airport and at the hotel talking about what Cisco is doing in their fine city.

Well, the conference starts tomorrow, but CDN has already learned that the networking giants plans to focus on the collaboration market. This market, CDN, has already reported, is estimated to be worth US$34 billion worldwide.

Cisco will launch at least two new programs for this market segment tomorrow. Also expect to see a new incentive channel program for its TelePresence systems. Cisco has already expanded the TelePresence portfolio to include more affordable models for the SMB.

This will also be Donna Wittmann’s first Partner Summit, so expect some new plans from the newly minted Cisco Canada channel chief.

I’ll be here all week covering the show for CDN Now and I’ll also tweeting regularly, so follow us on Twitter @CompDealerNews.
