Asus adds XP to Eee PC

Asus recently chose CeBIT to launch a new version of its Asus Eee PC pre-installed with Windows XP.Previous versions used Xandros, the Linux distribution started out ofOttawa, but Asus has indicated the more familar XP interface will offerbetter integration with other applications. No word on a Vista version, but given that this is a subnotebook line, perhaps XP helps keep thecosts down.

The machine will include Microsoft Works and built-in access to Windows Live.
