By: IT News BlogMark Goldberg writes today that telco Eastlink, based out of the Atlantic region of Canada, wants access to the carrier spectrum to be accessible for new entrants to the national carrier market. He also writes about how the Telus/Bell/Rogers group has argued about how creating a new national carrier is “unnecessary.” I guess the best slogan to describe a situation like this from the Big Three telcos perspective is a paraphrased version of William Lyon Mackenzie King's legendary statement: “free market if necessary, but not necessarily the free market.”
