Paris-based systems integrator and management consultant Cap Gemini Ernst & Young announced Thursday the formation of a 50-50 joint venture with global mobile telecommunications operator Vodafone Group PLC. The new company, which has yet to be named, will offer mobile services to corporate customers across Europe, Cap Gemini said.
The new venture will combine consultancy and systems integrations services from Cap Gemini with mobile technology and services from Vodafone. One of the services the new company will offer is developing mobile access to customers’ intranets. The venture will target customers in the freight and logistics, automotive, financial and construction sectors, Cap Gemini said in a statement.
