Toshiba of Canada Information Systems Group (Toshiba ISG) launched an ultra-portable notebook with a 128-gigabyte solid state drive (SSD) and green features.

The model runs on Intel Core 2 Duo Core Processor U7600 and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, 1GB DDR2 memory. The notebook is pre-installed with Windows Vista Business operating system.

The Markham, Ont.-based company said users will have ample storage space for critical corporate data and sensitive personal information while traveling, and a much faster operating system start up.

As well, the transreflective screen makes for clearer images so that users can turn off the LED backlighting while outdoors to save battery consumption.
