Toronto company supports wireless bank transactions in Mexico

A Toronto, Ont.-based software development company announced it joined forces with a Mexican-based company to provide a mobile payment infrastructure for Mexican banks that will allow consumers to make wireless transactions.

CPNI Inc., also an IBM partner, entered into an agreement with PROSA, a provider of electronic transactions in Latin America.

PROSA will provide financial institutions with the centralized payments processing backbone for CPNI’s Phone Authorized Transfer mobile payment technology.

With the combined technology, customers in Mexico can perform banking services, send money to other people, and make purchases using their mobile phone.
