Toss your tacky old porcelain bowl – toilets have gone high-tech, says toilet manufacturer Toto USA.
The Morrow, Ga.-based firm recently unveiled its latest toilet model, the NeoRest Integrated Toilet, which, according to Toto, “packs the maximum number of technological advances into a minimum amount of space.”
This “aware” toilet includes numerous “smart-sensor design innovations.” For example, its lid automatically opens whenever an individual approaches it. When the individual rises, NeoRest’s lid automatically closes, and the unit flushes by itself – no more surprises for the next person in line.
Operated by wireless remote, the seat’s multi-task functions provide gentle front- and back-aerated warm water spray, which can be regulated for preferred water pressure and temperature.
Other features include oscillating spray massage, heated seat, warm air dryer, and automatic catalytic air deodorizer, which “effectively eliminates unpleasant odors from the room.”
Toto said NeoRest also conserves water, flushing at 1.6 gallons per flush (GPF) for solid waste, or at 1.2 GPF for liquid waste, when its sensor is activated by men standing in front of the bowl. In addition, it has a rear nozzle that shoots a swirling cyclonic jet that scours the rim and bowl in three stages, resulting in what the firm said is a “cleaner flush.”
