Associate Editor — Star Wars Insider (GMG)
Location: Oakland, Calif.
Star Wars Insider is a unit of IDG Entertainment, the leading publisher of magazines and online sites. Star Wars Insider is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Editor.
First and foremost, all candidates must have extensive knowledge of Star Wars, including films, collectibles, books and comics (to include Expanded Universe events), and interactive games.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to, ensuring delivery of accurate, consistent and creative editorial copy throughout the publication, writing feature stories, covering product releases from licensed companies, proofreading articles, participating in strategic editorial meetings, and attending related events.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ editorial experience in journalism and publishing, and have had their work published. Excellent analytical, organizational, writing, editing and verbal communication skills are a must.
