C&C Software Solutions Inc. has introduced the Canadian release of MDaemon 6.8 with integrated antispam technology. MDaemon 6.8 adds support for mobile devices using the wireless application protocol, the wireless markup language and XHTML, plus Pocket PC technology. Form designer builds on XML architecture

Adobe Systems Inc. has announced graphical design software for creating electronic documents that leverages PDF for presenting information and XML for processing data. The new form design – XML/PDF Form Designer – will enable organizations to design and deploy forms in PDF or in an XML data package. This builds on Adobe’s XML architecture. It provides the ability to define business logic and incorporate existing or user-defined XML schemas. www.adobe.com

Web services plays a big role in CA offerings

Computer Associates International Inc. has launched five solutions. These provide automated management and security functionality. CA is utilizing Web services technologies to enhance integration of its Unicenter offerings. Unicenter Web Services Distribute Management will monitor Web services across the enterprise. CA also released Unicenter Management for WebSphere 3.5, Unicenter Management for WebLogic 3.5, Unicenter Management for .Net framework 3.0 and eTrust Directory 4.1, which provides a UDDI implementation. www.ca.com

Collaboration suite has expanded search

Documentum Inc. has released eRoom7, its collaboration product that can be combined with Documentum’s enterprise content management solutions. eRoom 7 can also be deployed as a traditional digital workplace solution. The newest version includes an enterprise search across all eRooms for better knowledge sharing and reuse. It integrates with enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP and SCM. www.documentum.com

Reporting gets down to city level

SageMetrics Corp. has released its Geo-Intelligence module for geographic reporting. This system allows for the geographical identification of a browser’s Internet address, down to city level. Program provides real-time exchange

OpenAir Inc. has introduced OpenAir for the Pocket PC, a fully integrated companion program that enables OpenAir users to log time, expense and project data on their Pocket PCs and upload it immediately to their Web-based OpenAir account. Microsoft Business Solutions, a business group of Microsoft Corp., has launched an enhanced business application developed with small businesses in mind. Microsoft Business Solutions Small Business Manager 7.5 includes order management, inventory asset management, reporting tools and enhanced integration capabilities. The order management feature helps arrange direct shipment from the vendor to the customers.
