Enterprise software maker SAP AG is bringing together multiple business intelligence and analytics applications with the latest release of its Business Objects Mobile app.
The 5.0 release of Business Objects Mobile enables users to collaborate using the SAP JAM social software platform, do voice commands as a form of annotation and ask any questions and get answers with Exploration Views on their iOS-powered devices, according to SAP.

“As organizations shift from a predominantly PC-based workforce to mobile, they cannot afford to have employees disconnected from the enterprise when critical decisions need to be made,” an SAP statement said. “The new 5.0 release puts the power of mobile analytics from SAP in one place, enabling users to easily interact with reports and dashboards.”

Key updates include:
- Access to multiple sources of analytic content on one application including Business Objects, Web Intelligence software, Business Objects Explore software, Business Objects Design Studio, Crystal Reports software, Business Objects Dashboard software, SAP EPM Unwired mobile app and SAP Lumina Cloud platform
- Social integration with SAP Jam as the default collaboration tool and support for the SAP StreamWork app
- New home screen and tool bar that provides improved navigation, voice command ability and native function for iPhone and iPad
- Customization features for appearance and functions including the ability to integrate with third-party security and SAP Mobile Platform
