SAP enhances its app store experience

Enterprise resource planning software maker, SAP AG has taken a number of steps to improve the shopping experience for customers of its online application store.

The store’s reach has been expanded to cover 26 countries. Newly added locations include: Philippines, Belgium, Denmark, Hong Kong, Norway, Sweden and Spain.
 

The store now contains over 2,000 applications which includes on-premise software and, mobile and cloud-based apps from SAP and more than 1,000 partners.

However, SAP recently signed a deal with Bazaarvoice.com to help its improve the volume and quality of product reviews on its app store.

Bazzarvoice is a United States-based Internet company that specializes in user –generated content in the form of customer reviews. It earns money by soliciting, screening and analyzing reviews for retailers and then “feeding the data from those reviews back to retailers” to help them improve their sales campaigns.

SAP’s online store now also allows customers to purchase some partner apps with through their PayPal account.

Customers and partners can now also buy and resell SAP’s Business One ERP software to smaller companies through the store.

Customers can also purchase some partner applications through PayPal accounts.

Partners also receive new tools that allow them to create their own storefronts.
