Connect 2002 in New Orleans in August, PeopleSoft, Inc. announced what it claimed to be the first industry-specific solutions for supplier relationship management (SRM). PeopleSoft promises SRM will manage the complete source-to-settle process online, across an entire organization. The new products are said to support the unique sourcing, procurement, spend management and supplier enablement requirements of industries including healthcare and financial services.
