Kennedy site “cammed”

Kennedy assassination aficionados can now catch the live view from the fabled sixth floor sniper’s perch at the former Texas School Book Depository any time they want. Earthcam, a webcasting solutions firm, has installed a live Internet camera at the southeast corner window where Lee Harvey Oswald is alleged to have fired the shots that felled U.S. President John F. Kennedy.

The camera, known as The Dealey Plaza Cam, will broadcast various views 24 hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week at www.earthcam.com/jfk/dallas/dealey.html. The Web site provides the only view assassination buffs will ever get from the sniper’s perch, because the area, now part of a museum, has been closed off to visitors.

If the plaza cam doesn’t float your boat, Earthcam provides links to a number of other “cam” sites including live images from Loch Ness, views of various homes, live images from historic landmarks and even shots of ferrets frolicking inside their cage.
