Novell Inc. is now shipping its Novell Internet Messaging System 2.5 with support for NetWare, Linux, and Solaris platforms. The messaging service targets ISPs and ASPs by allowing them to provide email accounts to vendors, customers, and partners. Enhancements to the Novell Internet Messaging System 2.5 include: cross-platform support, messaging rules support – which allows administrators to define processing rules on incoming messages, list server support – which allows ISPs to offer lists to customers, eDirectory integration and customization abilities – which allows users to personalize their messaging environment. Licenses for the Novell Internet Messaging System 2.5 are expected to be available by mid-June 2000. Pricing for Enterprise customers is US$20 per user.
