Iomega offers data recovery service for Europe

Iomega has launched its latest product, leveraging years of technological research in data storage and back-up to reveal its new data recovery service in Europe.

The service will provide European businesses and consumers with a helping hand to recover data lost due to hardware failure, file corruption or media damage. The service is already available in the U.S.

When a system fails, Iomega will provide customers an assessment of recovery options for critical data, regardless of the problem, including a hard drive crash, a forgotten password, unreadable tape, controller failure, damaged disks or cartridges, or an accidentally deleted or overwritten file.

Iomega’s Data Recovery Services can support multiple operating systems, including Mac OS, Microsoft, Unix, Linux and Netware. It will recover data held on servers, hard drives, external storage drives, tape, optical media, flash memory drives and legacy storage systems.

“Whether it’s a small business or a individual user, having a data back-up plan is essential for protecting digital files and ensuring data continuity,” said Mike Nikzad, Iomega’s vice president of operations and customer satisfaction. “Unfortunately even a good back-up plan does not provide complete protection against all data disasters.”

The service offers free evaluations and estimates for data recovery, online job tracking, will return data in any format on a customer’s choice of media.

Costs and turnaround time vary depending on the complexity of the recovery case.
