Iomega Corp. and Computer Associates International Inc. (CA) have partnered to offer what they say will be an affordable, easy-to-use storage backup system for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), the companies said Wednesday.
Called the Iomega NAS Backup, the network attached storage system will include an Iomega NAS server with up to 1.28 terabytes of storage, CA’s BrightStor ARCServe Backup 9.0 for Windows data protection software and CA’s eTrust Antivirus 7.0 for Windows software, the companies said.
Due to begin shipping later this month, the system will be pretested and certified by Iomega and should appeal to department-level managers at larger companies as well as SMBs, the companies said. Pricing was not yet available.
