CRTC rules cablecos must discount for ISPs
In response to an application from the Canadian Association of Internet Providers (CAIP), the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has directed cable carriers to offer a discount of 25 per cent on high speed Internet services to competing ISPs. The services must be available for resale within 90 days. A CRTC press release said the Commission will maintain these terms until the ISPs are able to connect their facilities to the cablecos as per earlier CRTC rulings.
