HP still shooting for the cloud

Hewlett-Packard Co.’s recent financial woes have led some observers to wonder about the fate of the company. However, in this interview with Network World U.S.’s Brandon Butler, the company’s head of cloud computing says it will go full out in pushing cloud solutions.
 
Zorawar Biri Singh admits that HP “has made a mess” of its cloud strategy, but said that is changing.
 
 
 
In April we reported that HP was about to release the beta version of is public cloud, called Cloud Services, as part of its  Converged Cloud strategy that builds on a single architecture.
 
Also announced at the time was software that allows for testing cloud applications in a virtual environment, and a series of services that customers can use to help build, program and optimize the performance of their networks.
