Follow Friday: Three great quotes shared by Canadian CIOs

You can tell a lot about a Twitter user by what they choose as a “pinned tweet.”

When the social media service created a new look and feel for individual user profiles a few months ago, it added an option to select one of the 140-character postings you’ve shared and have it semi-permanently fixed near the top.

For Geoff Hogan, IT director at Grey County, Ont. and a self-described rural broadband evangelist, it was a comment about the sometimes false promises of moving to host technology infrastructure  that deserves a place of prominence.

Over at Seneca College, meanwhile, CIO Roy Hart makes sharing great quotes is an ongoing part of his feet, including some wisdom he recently gained from a senior security executive at one of the world’s best-known business software firms.

And finally, it doesn’t get much better than this gem recently retweeted by Glenn Lanteigne, CIO at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services, who found great insight from a colleague at an industry conference.
