Fitting the Law for a uniform

The Uniform Law

Conference of Canada (ULCC) promotes the harmonization of law among provincial, territorial and federal jurisdictions. In order to have any legal effect, a model law adopted by the ULCC must be incorporated in legislation in each jurisdiction choosing to implement the law in some form. The degree of harmonization in the law that ultimately occurs in response to the promotion of a model law by the ULCC depends on both the number of jurisdictions in Canada that adopt the model law and on the degree to which those jurisdictions that adopt it do so with or without further modifications.
