Clientless VPNs gain market steam

Financial conglomerate Loews Corp. this month will begin the second phase of a clientless virtual private network (VPN) rollout to give remote users access to its internal network. The adoption of emerging clientless VPN technology by New York-based Loews means that users won’t need to load a VPN client on a remote PC, giving them secure access to e-mail and corporate documents from any computer.
